Legendary director Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) sold his vineyards to finance this expensive passion project. No producer wanted to burn his fingers on the bizarre science fiction epic, which Coppola claims to have been working on for forty years.

After a devastating disaster, a large city lies in ruins. Cesar, a brilliant architect and inventor of the miraculous material Megalon, wants to build a utopian city in which people can be truly happy.
