The film follows two detectives, played by Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, as they hunt a serial killer who chooses his victims according to the seven deadly sins: pride, greed, laziness, jealousy, anger, greed and lust.
With his raw, unmistakable atmosphere, Fincher creates an oppressive world that grips you from the start. Andrew Kevin Walker's ingenious script and the chemistry between the detectives, the young and excited Mills (Pitt) and the experienced and calm Somerset (Freeman), are at the heart of the film.
