Program Food
There is much more to discover during the European Researchers' Night! With more than 40 activities in Dutch and English, it is the place for everyone who wants to know more about science: researcher, non-researcher, student, local, young or old. In short, the science festival for all the curious!
Let's dish up!
At Let's dish up! you can learn all kinds of things about food. Open a hatch in the FEBO snack wall, challenge your friends or colleagues to the Arcade game or get inspired by Turbo Tom's chat board. Look through the microscope at ancient poop and discover what people used to eat. Additionally, you can taste the future by making insect bonbons together (and eating them, of course!).

Eierbal? No, Eiwitbal!
Imagine sustainable and healthy food from Groningen. The Fascinating program focuses on circular crops that provide proteins as nutritious as or even better than meat. An example is the "eiwitbal," made from circular potatoes, pumpkin seeds, and field beans, with a fiber-rich coating that feeds our gut bacteria. Curious about how this tastes and what it can mean for you? Come by and explore the future of food!
