Between the world and me
Poverty and environmental issues are deeply connected. Climate change is a result of an unfair economic system that exploits the vulnerable and overlooks the limits of natural resources. When we overuse resources without giving back, it causes serious, often irreversible damage. As we push for a greener future, we risk leaving the most vulnerable behind. To build a fair and sustainable world, innovation must include everyone. Curious to see how this plays out? Visit the photography exhibition at the European Researchers' Night. In "Between the World and Me," photographer Leoni von Ristok captures the links between poverty and nature, and the resilience of those affected by an unjust system.
