A Song Sung Blue

Tijdens een eenzame zomer ontmoet de verlegen 15-jarige Xian de extraverte Mingmei, een 18-jarig Chinees-Koreaans meisje en dan begint een betovering...
 

Xian zal zich altijd de eenzaamste en blauwste zomer herinneren toen ze 15 was. Nadat haar moeder voor haar werk naar het buitenland moet, wordt Xian toevertrouwd aan de zorg van haar vader, een vrijgevochten fotograaf die ze nauwelijks heeft gezien sinds de scheiding van haar ouders. Hij heeft het financieel moeilijk en gaat vreemd met zijn assistent die een 18-jarige dochter heeft, Mingmei. Al snel verschijnt Mingmei als een stralend licht voor Xian. Tijdens deze onrustige zomer zal het conflict tussen de onschuld en de impulsen van de jeugd een onuitwisbare stempel drukken op Liu…De film is winnaar van de CinemAsia Jury Award 2024.
