The Dutch museum for comics, animation and games

Storyworld is the newest museum of comics, animation and games in the Netherlands, but it’s also the coolest and the most fun. It unlocks the secrets of great storytellers, showcasing the methods used in Dutch and international comics, animation and games. But it's also a place for you to get hands-on with all the building blocks and features of comics, animation and games. Discover what it takes to understand a graphic story and how to create one yourself!

In the last room of the museum, our Spotlight room, we display the work of various artists several times a year. A Storyworld ticket gives you free entry!

Storyworld Spotlight

Several times a year we put the work of a special comic, animation or game makers in the spotlight under the name Storyworld Spotlight. A ticket for Storyworld gives free access to this presentation in the last room of the museum. From July 8 till October 29 2023 the Spotlight expo revolves around the work of Aimée de Jongh, one of Holland's best-known graphic novel authors. The presentation in the Spotlight Room gives a look behind the scenes and shows, among other things, how she went to work on Days of Sand, her best-known graphic novel that was awarded no less than fifteen prizes worldwide.
