Raak mij aan! Touch me!

Ghost in the Shell is a Japanese anime cyberpunk film by Masamune Shirow.

With dazzling cyberpunk sets, crazy action scenes, philosophical reflections and a fantastic soundtrack. The story takes place in 2029 (which was still quite a long way off in 1995), when the lines between humanity and machines are gradually blurred, by augmenting and upgrading the human body with implants, prosthetics and algorithms.

This also means, however, that a cyberbrain can be hacked, forcing the anti-hacking team of Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg with a human brain herself, to combat such heinous crimes. Although Motoko doesn't know for certain whether there really is a Ghost in the Shell?

This movie has an introduction in Dutch.
