Extremely stylishly depicted and now legendary crime drama, best known for the stunning performances of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
Police officer Hanna (Al Pacino) hunts for bank robber McCauley (Robert De Niro). Two professionals, with a sad private life. Extremely stylishly depicted crime drama, tightly edited and very well directed. Yet this is primarily the film of two acting talents. For example, De Niro preferred not to rehearse for filming a scene in which he has a cup of coffee with Pacino in a restaurant, and director Mann agreed. The scene was shot with two cameras, the actors took their space for improvisation, and the result was spectacular. An absolute highlight in the genre.
